Dr. Deborah A. Martin has always liked working with her hands, so maybe it's no surprise that she became a general surgeon. She was knitting by age 5, and sewing and taking piano lessons by age 8. A surgeon in Atlanta since 1989, the 44-year-old Martin practices today at Northside Hospital after starting out at Crawford Long and Georgia Baptist.
